Shortly after 10 p.m. on July 13, the driver of a Nissan failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Belvedere Road and South Australian Avenue. The Nissan struck a Honda on the passenger side, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old driver and his passenger. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The driver of the Nissan was in stable condition as of July 14, and the crash remains under investigation.
