Over 5,500 Mercedes-Benz Vehicles Recalled

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling 5,586 2015 Sprinter 2500 and 3500 due to incorrectly installed abutting wedge, according to the Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The abutting wedge is attached to the door jam and is used to make opening the door easier after a severe frontal impact. If installed incorrectly, a greater force may be necessary to open the doors following an accident, which could increase the risk and severity of injury.
