Werner Recalled Multi-Purpose Telescoping Aluminum Ladders

Werner, a company that manufactures ladders and fall protection products, recalled their “Multi-Purpose Telescoping Aluminum Ladders” due to risk of falls.

The business recently announced it is maintaining its June 20, 2018 voluntary recall of the Multi-Purpose Telescoping Aluminum Ladders due to the continued injury hazard. According to a release from Werner, the recall is centered on approximately 78,000 units of the ladders and includes a variety of model types and sizes.

What Types of Ladders Were Recalled?

There are several models of the Werner Multi-Purpose Telescoping Aluminum Ladders that have been identified as hazardous, including model MT-IAA-13A, model MT-IAA-17A, model MT-IAA-22A, model MT-IAA-26, and model MT-IAA-26A. The ladders were sold nationwide at Home Depot and Lowe’s in April 2018 and May 2018. At the time of sale, they ranged in price from $180 to $275.

Why Were the Ladders Recalled?

The ladders were recalled because of a fall hazard caused by the ladders breaking. An injury report that has been identified by Werner was described as an “injury to the left side and elbow of the consumer.”
