Subaru Recalls Nearly 200,000 Vehicles

Auto News & Recalls Product Recalls BY

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Subaru of America, Inc. is recalling 198,900 vehicles due to potential brake line corrosion. Models being recalled are 2008-2011 Impreza, 2008-2014 WRX and STI, and 2009-2013 Foresters. Brake lines may experience corrosion due to saltwater splashing through a gap in the fuel tank. Corrosion can lead to a brake fuel leak, increasing the distance to slow or stop the vehicles and therefore increasing risk of a crash.
