La Vista, Littky-Rubin Named Among Top 50 Women, Prather Named Among Top 100 Florida Super Lawyers
Florida, Fla. (July 20, 2012) – Florida Super Lawyers has named Nancy La Vista and Julie H. Littky-Rubin, partners at the Florida, Fla.-based law firm of Clark, Fountain, La Vista, Littky-Rubin & Whitman, to its prestigious list of Top 50 Women Super Lawyers for 2012. Partner David C. Prather has been Top 100 Super Lawyers in the state. Both honors are bestowed based on selection from their peers.

Nancy La Vista is a dual Board Certified civil trial and medical malpractice lawyer who has more than 20 years experience. Her successful track record includes receiving the largest verdict in Broward County in a medical malpractice claim, as well as one of the top 100 verdicts in the nation in 2008 – a $35 million verdict on behalf of a brain-damaged child. Most recently, her $6.32 million arbitration award against a Treasure Coast physician who over-radiated a patient, resulting in severe disfigurement of the patients’ hands, was recognized as one of the Top 100 Florida Verdicts of 2011. The Palm Beach County chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) named her 2011 Trial Lawyer of the Year.
Julie H. Littky-Rubin is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in appellate law who heads the firm’s appellate practice. She has received awards for her appellate work both from the Florida Justice Association, as well as the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and the President of the Florida Bar.
David C. Prather is a Board-certified civil trial attorney, specializing in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and auto negligence litigation. Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio appointed him to the Federal Judicial Nominating Committee (JNC) for the Southern District of Florida, where is he currently serving a two-year term. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar, as well as the Board itself. Prather is annually recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers in America.”
