David C. Prather Reappointed to Judicial Nominating Committee
Prather also recognized as finalist for statewide legal award
Florida, Fla. (June 27, 2013) – David C. Prather, a partner at the law firm of Clark, Fountain, La Vista, Prather, Littky-Rubin & Whitman in Florida, has been reappointed to the Judicial Nominating Committee (JNC) established by Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio. Prather will serve a second two-year term in the JNC’s Southern Conference of Florida.
The JNC recommends candidates to serve as U.S. District Court Judges, U.S. Attorneys and U.S. Marshals in Florida. The JNC decides which prospective nominees both senators will forward to the White House for the President’s consideration.
Prather was also recently honored by the Florida Bar as a finalist for the 2013 Justice Harry Lee Anstead Award, given each year to the Florida Bar’s Board Certified Lawyer of the Year.
David C. Prather is a Board-certified civil trial attorney who specializes in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability litigation. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar, the Board of Directors for WPBT2, and is also active in a number of legal and charitable organizations. He is also past president of the Palm Beach County Trial Lawyers Association.
