Managing Partner Mark W. Clark Recertified in Civil Practice by National Board of Trial Advocacy

In the News BY

President and Managing Partner Mark W. Clark has successfully achieved recertification as a civil practice lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Board certification is among the greatest honors a lawyer can achieve and marks the latest in a long line of accomplishments for Clark and the Clark, Fountain, La Vista, Littky-Rubin & Whitman team.

Fewer than 2,000 lawyers in the country are certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and less than 10% of practicing attorneys in Florida are board certified. Clark is recognized as a board certified attorney at both the state and national levels.

In order to achieve board certification, an attorney must have at least five years of experience practicing law, tried a high number of jury cases, completed an intensive peer-review process, finished the ongoing education mandates for a given certification field and pass a lengthy examination. Recertification is required every five years.

This year Clark will celebrate 30 years of board certification by The Florida Bar. He has been board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1993. During this time, Clark has exceeded 160 million and multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements, totaling more than $600 million dollars awarded for his clients in Florida and throughout the United States. Clark’s practice includes catastrophic accidents, trucking accidents, products liability cases, and medical malpractice claims.
