Florida lawyer re-appointed to state judicial nominating panel
Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
A Florida personal injury lawyer has been reappointed to a second-two year term on a committee that vets judges seeking the federal bench.
David Prather was reappointed this week to the Judicial Nominating Committee that also vets candidates for U.S. attorneys and marshals for the southern district of Florida.
He joins other notables such as former U.S attorneys Kendall Coffee, Alex Acosta and Dexter Lehtinen.
The committee is accepting applications until July 31 to replace longtime U.S. District Judge Patricia Seitz, who went on senior status in November. Interviews for those seeking to replace her are set for Aug. 13 in Miami.
