Clark, Fountain, La Vista, Prather, Keen & Littky-Rubin Partner David C. Prather recently served as a guest lecturer for a legal education seminar organized by The Florida Bar. The seminar – Effectively Litigating Employment Law Cases From Inception Through Trial – was held from August 17 – 18 at The Breaker’s Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.

Having litigated hundreds of cases in South Florida since 1990, David shared his insight on various strategies and trial preparation techniques during his lecture on Jury Selection Techniques. Considered one of the most important facets of any criminal or civil trial, jury selection or Voir Dire, the process of examining potential jury members by counsel, are critical proceedings that can make or break a case. The techniques discussed by David have been honed through decades of trial experience, and are the same techniques he has used to secure some of the largest negligence verdicts in our firm’s history.

By sharing his experiences, David serves an important role in furthering the quality of the representation attorneys are able to provide the residents of Florida. His continued engagement in educating fellow legal professionals aligns with his strategic, guiding position within The Florida Bar, where he recently served on the Board of Governors and its Executive Committee for nine (9) years.
