Following an Accident at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store , Firm Recovers $300,000 For Client

On December 11, 2009, Barbara Roberts was shopping at Lowe’s in Lake Park, Fla., to buy items to hang photographs for the holiday season. While she was talking with a store employee to locate her items, another employee was pushing and pulling two flatbed carts nearby. One cart ran into the back of both of Ms. Robert’s legs, knocking her to the ground.

As a result, Mrs. Roberts injured her right wrist and shoulder, both of which required surgery to repair injured ligaments and muscle tissue (carpal tunnel release and shoulder arthroscopy/decompression). She also aggravated a pre-existing back condition that she had undergone a prior lumbar surgery for years earlier.

Clark Fountain instituted a negligence-based claim against Lowes and was able to recover $300,000 for her injuries just prior to the jury trial docket beginning.
